Dunav (early period of ripening)
Dunav is a sort of table grapes with an early ripening period.
In our conditions, it matures by August 15.
The vine has a vigorous growth; the grapes are very large, their average mass reaches 684 grams, some of them – even up to 1.5 kilograms, with a moderate density of the grains.
The grains are hot red, oval-oblong, 30.8 x 20. 5 mm, with an average weight of 8.4 g; a compact and crisp pulp. And it has a sweet taste.
The variety is characterized by a particularly high commercial aspect. The sugary juice from grains is of 16-18 g/dm3.
As many as 55-65% of the twigs are fruitful. The fruit coefficient of fructification is 1.1-1.3. The load of twig is of 35-40 eyes, the cutting is realized at 8-10 eyes.
Productivity: 130-140 q / ha. The Dunav variety is sensitive to cryptogamic diseases and frosts (down to -18 ° C).
It has a high transportability. The taste qualities of fresh grapes are appreciated by 8.2 points.
