The subsidies for newly planted vineyards will be almost doubled
Reporter.md is informing that the subsidies provided by the Government for newly planted vineyards will be almost doubled until 2012. In 2010, the subsidies will be raised by 20%.
Under a Government decision made on Wednesday, the fund for supporting planting of grapes will be increased by 20% annually during 2010-2012.
Iurie Carp, the director general of "Moldova-Vin" Agroindustrial Agency, said that when the decision is implemented, the subsidy for a hectare of vineyard in 2010 will be 30,000 lei, in 2011 – 35,000 lei, while in 2012 – 40,000 lei, as against 25,000 lei at present.
A sum of 86 million lei was earmarked in the 2008 state budget for the purpose.
According to the Agroindustrial Agency "Moldova-Vin", about 10,000 hectares of land in Moldova are planted with grapes.
